MISSING PATIENT FOUND DEAD IN THE CEILING

Ok, so forgive me if I am being a little "doff" this morning. The guy is reported missing in September 2006, his body is found in a ceiling of a hospital ward in December and it has been there allegedly for about 3 weeks and he is referred to as a "patient". Based on that information, he was a patient of the hospital around the 4th of December (I taken it at 3 weeks), which means that between September (who knows the exact date that he was reported missing) and the 4th of December (who knows when he was admitted) he was missing - ok I can accept that, but surely once he was admitted, he was no longer missing! Why then the reference at the end of the piece that he was reported missing? My gut feel tells me that there is more to this story than has been reported - don't you just hate it when you get half a story! Then of course there is the reference to "It's not clear how he got into the ceiling" - you don't say! Surely a post mortum will tell you exactly what the causes of death are and from there it can be deduced how he got into the ceiling! And how about "A bad smell led to the discovery of the body" - you think! Why didn't the hospital realize that the patient was no longer in his bed? Then of course there is the why? Was foul play suspected and if not why not! In my opionion very little investigation has taken place and I have yet to see a follow up story on what actually happened! Good grief man, my 6 year old nephew could write a better story than this!

A missing patient's decomposing body was found in the ceiling of a ward at Kalafong Hospital on Sunday, Pretoria police said on Monday.
A bad smell led to the discovery of the body, said spokesperson Inspector Paul Ramaloko. "Preliminary investigations indicate the body has been lying there for two to three weeks," he said.
"It is not clear how the patient got into the ceiling yet. "The man, in his 40s, was reported missing in September. Police were investigating, said Ramaloko. - Sapa
